The concerts will be filmed for TV

The concerts with Silje Nergaard, KORK & Vince Mendoza will be filmed by NRK, as part of an upcoming series of concert recordings with jazz. Other concerts that will be filmed for the series are Veslemøy Narvesen and KORK, and Siwan - Jon Balke and KORK. The latter concert will be the first jazz project for KORK's permanent guest conductor for jazz, Miho Hazama.

Silje Nergaard is currently promoting her new album Tomorrow We’ll Figure Out the Rest, on a European tour. During the Oslo Jazz Festival, Nergaard will bring the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and conductor Vince Mendoza for an exclusive concerts at Kulturkirken Jakob.

Silje's band, with Helge Lien on piano, Jarle Vespestad on drums, and Finn Guttormsen on bass, has played an important role throughout her musical career. For this occasion, they are also joined by the legendary guitarist Georg Jojje Wadenius, who has also contributed to the new album. They are all unique instrumentalists, and they bring a very personal touch to her music with their playfulness, warmth, and sensitivity.

The Norwegian Radio Orchestra is an orchestra of high international level. At the same time, it is a flexible orchestra, playing everything from symphonic repertoire and contemporary music to pop, rock, jazz, and folk music. The list of collaborations with famous artists in all genres, both Norwegian and international, continues to grow.
